Joe Mirro's love of vintage buildings and fascination with their architectural details has drawn him to a career of restoring old neighborhoods. Joe Mirro created one of the first loft buildings in Chicago. Located in River West, the building was once home to Sylvestri Lighting. It became a “true” loft conversion with open space, original maple floors, high ceilings, and big windows. It boasted views of the loop and a huge freight elevator with original hand operated controls.
Over the years, Joe has developed an innate ability to choose the right buildings for conversion and to know exactly what the building needs to bring out its best features. “Every vintage building has its own personality. Once you get to know it, all you have to do is follow the message.”
